KF5JRA Ham Station
You have reached this page either by searching Google for my call, a fellow ham who I have worked or has worked me. I gained my amateur radio privileges on January 26, 2011 and upgraded to General in March of 2011.
Above is what my working conditions look like on my side of the radio (excuse the mess, still a work in progress). Below is what makes up my station:
Radio:
- ICOM IC-7300 (obtained 04/15/2016)
Antenna:
- K4KIO 6 Band Hex Beam (20M-6M) mounted on a Glen Martin RT-936 with a Hygain Ham-IV rotator.
- Mounted on the top of my shop building. 20M is at approximately 32’ [2016-09-10]
- Replaced Hygain collroller with Green Heron Eng RT-21D. [2017-04-01]
Computer & Software
- Dell Inspiron 3650 i5 running Windows 10 Pro.
- DXLab Suite for chasing DX and the reason why I chose it for my Amateur Radio station can be found here.
- N1MM Logger+ for contesting.
I try to export my log at a minimum of once a month to Club Log from DXLab’s DXKeeper to keep both this page and my QRZ pageup to date with my contacts. Please feel free to use the search function in the widget below to see if we had a QSO.
